Statement by Kevin Pugh:

"Hi, i'm Kevin Pugh, owner and founder of Mazdaspeed Forums. I created this forum in January 2008 for the purpose of providing an actual performance oriented tech site for force inducted Mazda's. MSF was created and still operates, as a NON Agenda site for the hardcore performance enthusiast. My overall goal was to create a site that keeps true enthusiast engaged, informed and TEACH them that damn near anything related to these cars, can be tackled in your own garage, with your own hands. This is where the NATOR concept was born... My background in cars consist of working for American Honda while in high school. I was quickly promoted within the service dept and sent to various schools by Honda, to secure certified credentials. I worked for Acura for approximately 3 years before moving over to Ford as a heavy line tech, then eventually operating my own performance shop with a friend. I have been in the performance game since the age of 14 and continue to influence younger generations to embrace performance properly."

Statement by Kevin Pugh:

"At MSF, we get pretty excited when new companies come out with new lines of products for the Mazdaspeed 3/6 platform. We also place our trust in a company to do what is right. If you're going to build parts for a car, the design and testing better be there for safety, longevity and function. No one likes a car to fail because of bad designs... and no one wants to see anyone get hurt in the process.

However, for SURE Motorsports and Street Unit, this just isn't the case."

"What were not aware of, is the dangers these parts would impose on our community months after their introduction... I feel really stupid to have believed that SURE was going to have perfectly good working parts, the kind we are used to seeing from Cobb, cp-e, JBR, etc. Hell, even in PTP's worst day, they didn't have as many failures as SURE has seemed to rack up."

"*** Update 5/17/2013 ***

Just received this after visiting the MPS forums across the pond. When you sell parts for a living and SURE is your main bread and butter, you receive straight out lies like below:

“totalmps wrote:
Hey just so you know we been doing sure gear for now 3 years now and have probably sold over 20,000 units of various products and have only had 1 item returned due to failed bush on r 3 mount

For you to come to a uk euro forum and say there is no arbitration for there products then you clearly don't know eu regulation for automotive parts sale. These have to be tested before any insurance company will insure that certain part before we can re sell it to general public . All sure parts are covered by £10 million insurance cover from any damage caused by any defects wich can arise . This covers property vehicle and public en general .

Sure products have been approved by uk insurers for resale period

You can't drive a car with rusty arches in the uk . Our regulations are a lot more strict than the USA .

The Only product not tested is guerilla arms and I know there are issues with them and sure have addressed them

Halos I have even stripped my own engine to prove a point but the reply I got on msf is I must have different units . Well that's just **** talk I got 20 sets and not 1 failure as I or my techs have installed them even I have them on my car . They did not fail even at 32psi the only thing that did fail is arp as head lifted.

I don't go oh **** let's start a thread arp killed my car ( well no prob when arp main those studs they did not expect cars to run so much boost . Same applies with some of the sure bushes when they where 1st released ie some parts prob suited to stock power or slightly higher etc but not 3 400 Hp then they need to pick something a lot firmer

I know sure have changed there street bushes due to heat . As you know heat can distort urethane

We been in Motorsport business for 15 years working with Honda racing and jas Honda Italy in construction and racing of their super2000 Honda civic world Turing car chassis and we had tested a lot of other products for mazdaspeed and not 1 came close by design or addressing existing issues of stock components . Not just copying factory parts wich will fail later on”"
