WARRANTY UPGRADE -- ShortCut Shift Plate (SURE0513)

SUMMARY:  The ShortCut shift plate shortens shifting by relocating the shift cable closer to the center of the gear selector on the transmission. 

CONCERN:  The aggressive design of the original ShortCut shift plate caused variables with the factory shift cable dust cover to arise.  The varying expandable and collapsible movement of the shift cable's rubber dust cover led to contact with the vertical gear lever of the transmission on 2010+ Mazdaspeed 3 vehicles. 

REMEDY:  SURE Motorsports immediately made all appropriate design changes and manufactured the revised model ShortCut within 30 days.  ALL nine (9) affected 2010/2011 Mazdaspeed 3 ShortCut owners received the new model ShortCut at no charge.  The revised ShortCut was released in August 2011.

ACTION:  None. 

NOTES:  With over 1,600 Shortcuts currently on the market, only 9 units were affected from July 2011 to August 2011.  There was no part number change.  More information on SUREHQ.com.
